Professional Development for Iowa School Leaders

Iowa Evaluator Approval Training Program II: Evaluation of Administrators

Audience

Do you primarily evaluate administrative staff? Are you a superintendent, central office staff, or someone who primarily evaluates administrators? If so, this course has been designed for you!

The two-hour course counts for two of the four credits required for renewal of an administrative license. The law currently states that an administrator can complete either of two level II Evaluator Renewal Courses: Evaluation of Teachers OR Evaluation of Administrators. Individuals, however, may choose to take both courses to complete their required four hours for licensure renewal. Best practice would indicate that an individual should take the course most pertinent in his/her current job position.

Contact your AEA to see if and when they will be offering this course during the 2008-2009 school year or continue to check this web site for offerings across the state.
